If you’re not familiar with Charles Hubert Paris watches, the name might be confusing. You’d likely think that the company was owned or created by someone named Charles Hubert, and that it was located in Paris, France, right?
That’s what we would think and if we thought that, we’d be wrong. According to the company Website, the company is based in a suburb of Los Angeles, California.
The watches, however, are reportedly manufactured in Hong Kong, using locally sourced parts and Japanese and Swiss movements.
That’s all rather interesting and peculiar, but not as interesting as the watches themselves. The company currently offers more than 400 different watches for men and women, in an incredible variety of styles and colors.
Furthermore, models include pendant watches and pocket watches in their product line.

The build quality is good; their watches have stainless steel cases and use mineral crystal to protect the watch face. Bracelets are stainless steel and models with straps use leather.
Water resistance is good, but not spectacular; most models are rated at 30 meters, which means it’s OK to get them wet, but you won’t want to go diving with them.
Originally, the Charles Hubert Paris watches used movements sourced from China. That has changed, and their current product line features quartz electronic movements, and both mechanical and automatic (self-winding) mechanical movements sourced from either Japan or Switzerland.
The company indicates watches with Swiss movements has having “Swiss parts.” That’s to make it clear that while the movements are manufactured in Switzerland, the watches themselves are not, and therefore these watches are not “Swiss-made.”
Still, both Swiss and Japanese movements come with a well-deserved reputation for accuracy and reliability, and that’s what you’ll find in the current product line.

Given their price point, you’re not going to find cutting-edge innovation when it comes to function, but they do make good use of existing technology.
Models include time-only models, chronographs, models with dual time zones, date complications, inset second hands, and more. As far as we know, all of the company’s models have analog displays.
Styling is what this company all about. The company currently has more than 400 watches in their product line, including roughly an equal number of models for both men and women, plus pendant watches and pocket watches.
If you like color, you’ll like this brand; they’ve got a lot of choices besides the usual black, white, gold and silver, particularly in women’s models.
While precious metals and gemstones are a relative rarity in the product line, they do have a couple of models with touches of gold added to a stainless steel case as well as diamonds decorating the bezel.

As wristwatch warranties go, you’ll find that the warranty is exceptional. Most watch manufacturers warrant their products for two years from the date of purchase.
These watches, on the other hand, are warranted for life against defects in materials and craftsmanship. We’ve only seen that in a few brands (even Rolex and Patek Philippe don’t offer that kind of warranty.)
If your watch fails due to materials or craftsmanship issues, they’ll either repair or replace it. That’s a terrific warranty.
Pricing is quite reasonable, given that you can spend thousands on a designer watch.
The price range runs between about $60 and $1000 or so, but that’s a bit misleading. Probably 80% of all of the company’s wristwatches fall into the $100-$200 range, making them quite affordable.
You’ll pay a bit more for models with diamonds and a few others in their “Premium Collection,” which mostly features mechanical movements, but for the most part, you’ll find the prices of Charles Hubert Paris watches to be quite affordable.
You can find the brand for sale at both brick and mortar stores and at a number of retailers online. Most fine jewelry stores and specialty watch stores probably won’t carry the brand, but you will find them at a number of department stores and even a few big-box retailers.
